Acyclic Constratins and graph cycles in Maya - explained

by user149 posted 03-03-2018 | 1 comment

Hi Everybody,

Hopefully Vasil will forgive me the self plug, it's free stuff after all.

I don't have a ton of time to follow forums and the such these days or I'd have made this account earlier, but I was happy to see Vasil getting this one off the ground. Well done, mate.

It's been brought to my attention that discussion on matrices and constraints in Maya has occasionally seen my videos mentioned in here, so I thought I'd let you know I did a bonus intro for the latest episode to finally go over the explanation of how cyclic and acyclic evaluation works in Maya (instead of repeatedly hand waving the subject away like I did in the past).

Couldn't fit it into an actual episode, but at the same time it felt overdue. Hope you guys find it useful. http://www.cultofrig.com/2018/03/03/season-01-episode-20-leg-guide-pt2/

Best, Raff

Wicked!

Thanks a lot for sharing this Raff! Really good to see these explained in a bit more detail!

And, yes, the stream does come up as a solution to a lot of the questions on here. It's great that there is such a useful resource we can point people to!

Also, I suppose this is as good a place as any to say many many thanks for the stream as well!
